About Us
The Business Organization for Latino Development (BOLD) was founded in the Spring of 2021 by Diego Pizano (Class of 23’) and Josselyn Navas (Class of 22’). The co-founders wanted to address the lack of Latino representation across existing business organizations at UChicago by creating a supportive space for Latino professionals to network, learn, and celebrate their heritage on campus. With a first class of 40 students, BOLD has grown to become UChicago’s premier Latino business RSO.

Mission
BOLD’s mission is to develop, motivate, and celebrate Latino students on campus interested in pursuing careers in business. Through workshops, faculty conversations, and networking events, we strive to introduce members to various business industries and prepare them for successful careers at top firms.
Vision
Through our programming, we hope to work against the stigma around business careers within the Latino community and create a robust professional and social network for Latinos. The intersection of cultural affinity, shared professional endeavors, and the strive for excellence in the face of challenge is at the heart of BOLD.
